Little Sandy Glass is a glassblowing studio in Tuscaloosa, Alabama built and operated by partners, Heather Hepp and Crichton Minges. We each work in different types of glassblowing independently, but often collaborate. Crichton works at a torch with borosilicate glass. Currently, he is focused on detailed color-work resulting in elaborate patterns that he forms into large marbles, pendants, ornaments, and sculptures. I work from a glassblowing furnace. My work is often of transparent colors with simple patterns. I make bottles, vases, bowls, kinetic mobiles, ornaments, sculpture and garden art. Our work continues to expand as we love exploring new techniques and skills.
